Shangri-La is located in the “Great Triangle” area of Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet in the northwestern part of Yunnan Province. It is located in the heart of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It is a pure land that is rare in the world to preserve natural ecology and traditional culture. Just as described in The Vanishing Horizon: A land of eternal, peaceful, and peaceful. There are grasslands surrounded by snow-capped mountains, bright sunshine, fresh air, unpredictable living Buddhas, sacred and quiet lakes, splendid temples and simple and friendly Kham Tibetans.
After picking up from the Lijiang airport, we’ll visit the world's historical and cultural heritage-“Lijiang Ancient City”,which is also the national 5A-level scenic spot known as “Plateau Gusu”, and it has long been known as the “soft time” you can shuttle through the old alleys and enjoy the unique features of the ancient town.
The hiking starts from the intersection of the High Road of Tiger Leaping Gorge in Tiger Leaping Gorge town, taking a 63-kilometre ride from Lijiang. All-day hiking time: 6-7 hours. The lunch is served at the Naxi Accord, while dinner is served at the inn. The inn is a family hotel and the double standard room with separate toilet.
Attractions along the way: acrossing the Jinsha River, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Haba Snow Mountain, crossing 28 Turns, overlooking the Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge.
Walks to Zhongxia Inn from Chama Inn for lunch, after lunch, we will go the intersection of the High Road of Tiger Leaping Gorge from Zhongxia Inn. The hotel will provide free cars to the hiking intersection, then start the U-shaped hiking.When going down the mountain, you will pass a beautiful A Ray of Sky. We will arrive at the Tiger Leaping Stone in about 1 hour hiking. You can take photos on the Tiger Leaping Stone, then continue to hike on the high ladder to the farmhouse. It would take about 5 minutes to back to the Middle Gorge Hotel, then end our hiking route.
Hiking time: 7-8 hours, stay at the Walnut Garden Family Hotel in the evening, double standard room with separate toilet.

After Breakfast, we’ll take cars to visit the national 4A-level scenic spot - Shangri-La [Tiger Leaping Gorge] (about 1 hour of tour time), which is famous for “ precipitous”. The main peak is 5596 meters above sea level, and the peak on the West Bank is over 3000 meters above the river level, 600 meters higher than the height difference of Hell Canyon in the United States. When the tourists enter the valley, they'll view the sky as a line and view the river as a dragon, which is the rare wonders in the world. The gorge is only a few meters wide. There is a 13-meter-high stone in the center of the river ——Tiger Leaping Stone. The stone is like a solitary peak, standing alone. The roaring rivers and stones fight each other in this magnificent scenery. Therefore, it is famous for its wonder, danger, majesty and magnificence. After arriving in Shangri-La, we'll visit one of the most important towns of the ancient Tea-Horse Road [Dukezong Moonlight Ancient City] (about 1 hour). The Dukezong ancient city is the best preserved and largest Tibetan village in China, and it is the hub of the ancient tea-horse road. Climbing to the top of Turtle Mountain Park, and overlooks this "castle that built on stone", where stands the world's largest prayer wheel, also known as the Victory Building, gently rotating the prayer wheel to send blessings to relatives and friends in the distance.
After breakfast, we’ll go to Abuji via SUV, a secret and pure land. This is the epitome of Shangri-La, with magnificent temples, snow-capped mountains, lakes, and canyons and streams. You can experience the peace and tranquility of the paradise, appreciate the unique philosophical connotations of Tibetan areas, feel the beauty of all things in nature, and find yourself during the stroll! Vist time probably 5-6 hours.
After breakfast, we’ll visit [Songzanlin Temple] (about 2.5 hours vist time.) It is the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Yunnan Province, known as the "Little Potala Palace, and is one of the famous temples in Kang District, is also the center of the Yellow Sect in the Sichuan-Yunnan region, which plays an important role in the entire Tibetan area. The temple is built on the mountain and looks like an old castle. It is a collection of Tibetan art and is also known as the “National Art Museum”. The lunch is served in Tibetan families, then you can visit the local residential buildings, feel the lives of Tibetans and taste the Tibetan cuisine. In the afternoon, we will visit [Napa Sea] (about 1 hour visit time). Napa Sea would accumulate a lot of water in the late summer and early autumn, forming a seasonal plateau lake. While in the winter and spring, the water shrinks or even dries up, and the rippling lake becomes a swampy meadow, which is integrated with the Yila Grassland. The black-necked cranes, yellow ducks and bar-headed geese fly over the grasslands when they overwinter here. Yaks, horses and Tibetan pigs are dotted on the boundless grasslands.
